ABOUT STACKS/GOUDKAMP - ACCREDITED COMPENSATION LAWYERS

Tom Goudkamp has been a leading personal injury lawyer in Sydney for over 20 years. Prior to December 1993, Tom was a partner at Michell Sillar and before that, a partner at Henry Davis York. In December 1993, Tom and Julie Mahony left Michelle Sillar to head up the Sydney office of Stacks the Law Firm.

The firm became known as Stacks the Law Firm with Goudkamp Mahony. In July 1998, we opened an office in Newcastle and shortly thereafter in Canberra. In 2001, we became known as Stacks the Law Firm with Tom Goudkamp, but in July 2003, the firm was incorporated and is now known as Stacks/Goudkamp Pty Ltd. Tom Goudkamp is the Managing Director with Ian Chipchase, Ivan Dzajkovski, Mary Moloney and Jnana Gumbert as firm Directors.

In 2003, the Canberra office entered a joint agreement with leading Canberra law firm, Snedden Hall & Gallop, to form the law firm Stacks with Snedden Hall & Gallop.

Stacks/Goudkamp Pty Ltd is a dynamic personal injury law firm with an outstanding reputation for its expertise, experience in personal injury cases and compassion for the many injured people for whom it acts. The firm, in particular, is one of Australia 's leaders in relation to handling claims involving catastrophic injuries.

Setting Stacks/Goudkamp apart from other law firms is the intimate involvement with our clients - in major claims, we invariably visit our clients at their homes to see, first hand, the difficulties faced and our client’s likely needs. It also gives us an opportunity to interview the client's family, friends and care-takers.

We are prepared to travel to accident scenes to conduct in-depth analysis, and are also happy to travel to see our overseas clients who were injured whilst visiting Australia.

Our legal team is professional, experienced and compassionate. The team handles all varieties of personal injury cases including motor vehicle accident claims, workers' compensation, public liability, professional liability and medical negligence claims.

We charge no fees unless the claims are successful and we generally pay all outgoings (e.g. disbursements for medical reports). We also provide free parking at our Sydney office for those clients with mobility problems.

The Managing Director, Tom Goudkamp, is a past President of the Australian Lawyers' Alliance (formerly the Australian Plaintiffs' Lawyers Association). He is also the co-author of the Personal Injury Law Manual and is a member of the Law Society's Specialist Accreditation Board and Chair Person of the Personal Injuries Advisory Committee. He is also a CARS (Claims Assessment Resolution Service) assessor in relation to motor vehicle claims.
